Hey, ya'll. So Lydia and I are looking into possible vacation spots. Do any of you have any thoughts on Machu Picchu, Easter Island, or Portmeirion? I'm hearing good things about Machu, but no one apparently has been to Easter Island or Portmeirion.
I would appreciate any thoughts you have. If you want to suggest places, that would be great too. The theme of our trip is: History and Perspective.

I'm so into Machu Picchu it's sick. I've been begging people to come with me for at least 3 years!
Tina, have you been, or are you just saying you really want to go?
The people who I've spoken to who have been all highly recommend it. Apparently the preferred method is to fly into Cuzsco and stay there while taking day trips out to see different Inca ruins, including a day or two at Machu Picchu. There's also an option to hike up to Machu Picchu from Cuzsco over the course of 3 days, which sounds amazing, especially since you're hiking on actual old Inca roads that were used to travel to Machu Picchu.
No, I've never been but it's on the top of my list of places to go. If you go, I'm hiding in your suitcase.
Hey, where'd you end up going?
The plan now is to go to Europe in May and maybe do Machu Picchu over the summer or fall.
So our vacation plans have changed once again. Europe is now out, but we have purchased tickets to travel to Hawaii in May! We're going to be staying primarily on the Oahu island, which is where they shoot Lost! We're looking forward to some sight seeing and running from some smoke monsters!
