... until somebody else fucking says something!
Overall episode high point?
The Penny-Desmond reunion!! Amazing! So beautiful! So Odysseus! That arc has been really well-structured; even though i have always felt like Desmond was such an inexcusable jackass/coward for breaking it off with Penny, and that as a result he didn't deserve her, i think the story of his redemption was really excellent.
(and did anybody else feel like Claire's mom looked a lot like Penny?)

Sam, thanks for getting us started! I completely agree with everything you said. LOST has been really good at making its season finales emotionally moving as well as intellectually exciting -- and this one was no different. To add to the beautiful moments you've mentioned, I would add that I was touched with how Jack felt about Jeremy Bentham, particularly where we see him reach out to touch the coffin. Knowing that he's Locke is really interesting; how exactly does Jack feel about him now?
As far as "Jeremy Bentham" goes, the reveal was awesome, but I find it a little curious that they kept referring to him as "Jeremy Bentham," and even where Hurley posed the same question, Sayid stopped him and told him not to say the name. What do you guys think is going on there? Are they really just trying to protect Locke?
And what's the deal with Charlotte? Is she Ben's Annie? But wouldn't he have recognized her?
The island moving was interesting -- it obviously harkened back to Desmond using the fail-safe at the swan. But what was the effect of "moving" the island? On the orientation video, just before it starts rewinding itself, Halliwax is saying that the rabbit will APPEAR to disappear, but really -- (and then it starts rewinding). Is it traveling through a worm-hole? Is it still there but time and space bends around it so that it appears to disappear but it's just being moved from point A to point B in time? I feel like the island might just be at a different coordinate now -- instead of reaching it through 315 degrees, now you have to enter through 330 degress or something. It's fascinating stuff, and I found it really interesting that Ben described all of the Dharma stations as being designed to do "silly experiments." I'm thinking that the island has these natural properties that are intended to support whatever the island's purpose is (to save the world?), and the Others feel that Dharma is sort of missing the point (and being exploitative) by doing experiments rather than really understanding the island. So maybe the property that allows for time travel is the wheel and it's intended to move the island through time, but here Dharma goes and finds this and decides to use it for their own experiments in time travel, thereby missing the real importance of the property.
What do we think about what will happen in season 5!? It looks like Ben was transported into the future and to the Sahara, but how did he know to expect that? I feel like Faraday and co. did not disappear with the island, but where are they?
