Wait, isn't it Sayid that says that the French lady's msg from the radio tower is what's jamming the signal? Juliet says that it doesn't matter going to the radio tower cuz everything is also being jammed at the Looking glass. So really, it's Sayid that sends everyone off to the radio tower.
Ah so...
I'm not saying that she is 100% on the up and up, but in this case, it wasn't her doing.
Do you guys think that Locke is going come in and save the day? Movie style, you'know: The villain has the upper hand and then the guy you thought was dead comes and shots him outta nowhere.
i think they're too slick for that... Locke will be coming back tho... no doubt.
on the radio tower thing, i understood that both the looking-glass and the repeating message were both causing interference. another point would also be that a radiotower would essentially allow for broad-range boosting of a signal, making the probability of comm much greater, all the meanwhile getting a bunch of people away from direct danger (or so they think!).
