There he is.
Incidentally, anyone else notice that Roger's Dharma uniform had the Swan on it? I don't recall what Ben's uniform had on it.
I like the fact that Season 2 was all about Dharma and we all assumed it was the key to the show, when it kinah turns out they appear to be just a group of socialist hippies who got in over their heads. I think we'll see that the real mysteries of the island and the real key to the show are the natives. Do they not age? If not, then why don't they realize that Ben is aging?

Brain flash!!
The Hostiles are not native to the island. How do i know this? Because everyone in the camp believes that Ben was the only one born on the island... now, WE know that's not true, but Richard and all of them believe it... so where was Richard born? Where'd they come from?
But at the very least, doesn't Richard know that Ben can't be a native because he's a Dharma kid? Unless Ben was able to convince him that Dharma merely recruited him from the island (which is unlikely -- you would assume that Richard knows who the other natives are). Unless you think the hostiles came AFTER Dharma, and so maybe the hostiles thought the Dharmas were the true natives?
Yeah, I'm not sure if the hostiles were born on the island, either. I also don't take Richard's grungy-ness when meeting young Ben to mean anything, remember the others like to pretend that they are more rustic than they are.
Who thinks Jacob is the smoke monster? He obviously has paranormal powers. I also think that Ben (willfully or unknowingly) has control over Jacob. Maybe Jacob is imprisoned on the island but only Ben can see him. Which why it Ben shot Locke, because he could hear Jacob. It seems like the island or Jacob picks leaders. And maybe Ben (and his ability to see his mom) became the leader because he could see or do things others can't. Now, Locke walking and bonding with the island is putting Ben's status in jepoardy. Which is why he shamed him, and now shot him. Is killings one's father a rite of passage on this island?
True dat, W. I'm not sure what Richard believes about Ben. But he is one of the others that doesn't treat Ben like he is all powerful. Remember how Ben looked to him and Tom to stop Locke from beating Patchy and they did nothing. He also told Locke how to get around having to kill his father.
I need more info on Jacob, the list maker and cancer curer. What are these lists for? At first thought the others couldn't get their hands dirty but they took out Dharma. Ben killed his father and Locke (but we know he isn't dead), and even Goodwin killed back in the day.
just a little correction (which i fixed on my post) i thought richard's name was william... anyway, the life-extension program i think was and attempt to harness some strange phenomena in the island to promote something approaching immortality... read a little about joop.
the second thing is that my wrk comp doesn't play youtube/google vids but i noticed that there's a new video at the bottom of the "oceanic 815" video strip (where it seems there's a news report with footage of the crashed plane!!! can someone tell me more about it if you can see it??? just click it and it should play at the top of the blog!
