For Real Elli?
Damn... I mean, damn! I mean damn, for real? Did anyone rewind back and really check out her face while she was telling Dan that he should go to the island? It was a fine bit of acting. The emotion behind the smile. But damn... I mean, damn! I mean damn, for real?
Also, I think whatever Jack is up to next week, will either spring them into the right time or cause the meltdown that makes the swan button necessary, maybe both... Your thoughts?

Well That Answers That...
So, it looks like they were always there. You can't change anything. This is very interesting and a real departure from the Back to the Future theory of time travel. I was sort of right about the irony of it all -- that Sayid's actions would lead to Ben becoming Ben. It looks like Jack is also worthy of much blame for not helping Ben himself, which would have obviated the need to take him to the Others. So the people that hate Ben the most are to blame for creating Ben.
Except only sorta. If they can't change anything, then can they really be blamed for their actions? They are sort of predetermined at this point. There's a strange passivity to it all now.
I really liked the convo between Hurley and Miles. It's the same convo that we're all having! The show's response to Hurley's "Why doesn't Ben remember Sayid shooting him?" question was a little weak, I think. The whole "he'll lose his innocence and not remember any of this" concept feels like a real contrivance -- unless we see something next week in the Temple that will make this line make sense. (Note that they still need to explain why Rosseau didn't remember Jin. Relying on "all Koreans look alike" probably won't cut it.)
I'm excited about finding out more about the Temple! It feels like the last uncharted place on the island!

Where are you, Scobby do?
There's been some shit happening and no one is commenting!!! What gives??? Besides last night's cliff-hanger I have a question.
If Horace and Michelle (from 24) really had baby Ethan? Claire abducting/Charlie hanging/Baby snatching Ethan??... Then Ethan somehow survives the purge? Because now he is an itty bitty Dharma-inite, and later he is a creepy, always in the shadows other? What does this mean?? Any thoughts?

Sarah, I Hope You're Happy!
Well, Sarah, I guess the Lost gods heard your cry for more Sawyer, cuz we just got an entire episode basically devoted to him! What'd you think? I liked the episode overall, although I'm not sure where they're going with the whole Sawyer-Juliet-Kate triangle. I'm just hoping it doesn't take up TOO much time because it seems like just a distraction.
Speaking of gods, though, I DID find the statue sighting interesting. Word on the street is that it's likely of Egyptian god Anubis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anubis). Notice how he's holding an Ankh (which is a symbol for eternal life) in one picture. The Lost statute appears to be holding two Ankhs. And, of course, Horace (another Egyptian god's name) spots Amy with the Ankh she took from her previous husband. So where are they going with all this? Are they saying the island is where the ancient Egyptians once lived, or where they learned about building a civilization?
There's also been some chatter about Amy's baby. If the Losties hadn't come upon her, would she have died? They aren't supposed to be able to change anything, so does that mean she wouldn't have died, or does it mean that Farraday was wrong about that? If he's wrong and they did manage to change the past, then Amy's baby should never have been born... Hmm. Maybe that's why babies conceived on the island always die? The island is pissed that a baby was born that shouldn't have been?

is LOST starting to lose you?
cuz it kinda is...
i mean, i'm intrigued, but i'm not thrilled at how sloppy things seem to be... not as tight, you know?
it's fun show now as opposed to a great one for me. i hope this changes back to its original way of thrilling and mystifying with plausibility being its core... can they come back?
let's see... anywho, it seems we ain't all that excited as a group much nowadays...
oh well...

Can the past be changed?
So Jin, is the reason that Russeo and by default Alex is alive, since it seems to be that the rest of the team went down into the temple and got the "sickness". The killing of Alex also set Ben off to do things not yet seen, because of this prior action.
It also seems to me that Locke made himself the Leader of the other's by telling Albert to check him out in the hospital when he was born.
And Daniel, who says the past can't be changed sure seems to be trying. He tries to get Desmond to help as well as, tries to tell young Charlotte not to come back to island. And he is for some reason at the orchid when it's being built.
Things that make you go hmm...
I think they are telling us this story now pulp fictions style and if we can put the pieces together in chronological order, we will start to see how things are coming together.
